What type of information I have

My website does not use analytics and I use the minimum of third party tools to handle a mailing list.

I currently collect and process the following information on customers:

• Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details.)

How I get the information and why I have it

Most of the personal information I process is provided to me directly by you for one of the following reasons:

• You have requested a quote or service which requires my contacting you or attending your property and subsequently invoicing you.
• You have joined a training course and have volunteered to receive emails which you may opt of at any time.
• You have joined a newsletter and have volunteered to receive emails which you may opt of at any time.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases I rely on for processing this information are:

What I do with the information I have

I use the information that you have given me in order to service your requests and market to you, on an opt-in basis.

I will not share this information with anyone unless legally obliged for example in the case of a formal request from HRMC.

How I store your information

Your information is securely stored in digital format with both Google GSuite and Mailerlite. Both of whom are GDPR compliant.

I use MailerLite to manage my email marketing subscriber list and to send emails to subscribers. MailerLite is a third-party provider, which may process your data using industry standard technologies to help me monitor and improve my newsletter.

You can unsubscribe from my newsletter by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided at the end of each newsletter.

I will keep invoices and emails containing, customers contact information for 7-10 years, in accordance with my requirement to keep financial records. I will then dispose your information by deleting the digital copy, no hard copies are ever made.

I will keep phone numbers and email addresses in my company address book for 2 years hence from last contact but will not use this information for generic marketing or processing without explicit consent via subscription to my mailing list.

I will purge my mailing list database of cancelled subscribers at least twice a year.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

• Your right of access - You have the right to ask me for copies of your personal information.
• Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask me to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask me to complete information you think is incomplete.

• Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.

• You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, I have one month to respond to you.
